Almost done!
We are almost finished our bird. I am using a die grinder with a flap wheel
for sanding
all the tight areas of the bird.

Smooth all the rough edges with your Dremel.

Make the head smooth as you can.

Once the shaping is done change to a 120 grit sanding disc and go over all
surfaces
again to get them as smooth as you can.

Use the edge of the disc to cut notches for the toes.

Once you have gone over it a second time with 120 grit it should
look something like this.

Make sure the wing tips are sharp but not fragile so they break.

Trace a line on both sides in the position indicated, this will become the eyebrow.

Use the 120 grit disc to remove material below the eye on both sides.

The other eyebrow should be symmetrical compared to the first

Draw eyes in the proper spots.

Use a fine grinding bit in your dremel and remove material around both eyes.

You need a scalpel or carving chisel to work out the details around the eyes.

Once you have the detail worked out use a sanding block to smooth the rest

The bird is taking shape, switch back to your 80 grit disc
we are going to score the feathers onto the bird.

Score as shown careful not to make the scores too deep.

Don't forget to score the tail feathers.

Scored feathers are ready for coloring.

A propane torch is best for coloring.

Your bird is done
